Intake and assessment

Review of current component versions, target version, compatibility matrix and any deprecated features in use. Upgrade sequence and maintenance windows are agreed.

Preparation and rollback plan

Snapshots or backups are taken of each component in scope. Rollback procedure is documented and shared before any change is made.

Upgrade execution

Delivery Controllers are upgraded in sequence to maintain availability. StoreFront and VDA components follow, with validation checks between each step.

Validation and documentation

Post-upgrade functional checks confirm session launch, policy application and licensing. Full change document is delivered as part of the engagement.

Frequently asked questions

Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, Director, FAS and the Citrix License Server are included. The License Server is always upgraded first, before any other components are touched. WEM and Profile Management upgrades can be added during the intake call.
The upgrade is planned to minimise user impact. Delivery Controllers are upgraded in sequence to maintain availability. A maintenance window is scheduled for StoreFront components where a brief interruption is unavoidable.
A rollback plan is prepared and agreed before any work starts. Snapshots or backups are in place for each component. If needed, rollback can be executed immediately without waiting for further analysis.
VDA upgrade scope is confirmed during the intake call. For standard deployments it is included. For larger VDA fleets a phased approach is agreed and may be spread across multiple sessions.
Yes. The combined CVAD and NetScaler firmware upgrade is available for €5,280 fixed, saving €560 versus running the two engagements separately.
Typically within one to two weeks of the intake call, depending on your change management process and the availability of maintenance windows.
Yes. An in-place Windows Server OS upgrade of the CVAD infrastructure, for example from Windows Server 2022 to 2025, is available as an optional add-on to this package. Ask about pricing and scope during the intake call.
